Scientific Workshop on Discussing Academic Accreditation Standards for the Educational Colleges Group
Today, a specialized scientific workshop was held in Sayyab Hall at the Rusafa Educational Center to explore ways to implement academic accreditation standards in the educational colleges.The workshop took place in the presence of Professor Dr. Haider Hatim Faleh, Chairman of the National Council for Academic Accreditation of the Educational Colleges Group at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Dawood Abdul Salam Sabri, Vice-Chairman of the Council. It was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmad, Dean of the Open College of Education, and Dr. Amer Lutfi, Assistant to the Dean for Centers' Affairs, while its sessions were chaired by Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, Assistant to the Dean for Scientific Affairs. A select group of directors of centers and academic branches also participated.Discussions focused on practical mechanisms for applying nationally and internationally approved accreditation standards, on ways to raise the quality of program performance, and on enhancing the efficiency of educational outcomes to meet labor market requirements and achieve institutional excellence.The workshop concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts to fulfill accreditation requirements, updating curricula, and activating quality assurance programs across all colleges in the educational group.
