In implementation of the directives of Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmad, Dean of the Open College of Education, to engage with reputable academic institutions—and under the direct oversight of Assistant Professor Dr. Jalal Jasim Muhammad, Director of the Rusafa Educational Center—Dr. Khalida Mohsen, a lecturer in the English Language Department at the Rusafa Center, served as a member of the public defense committee for postgraduate diploma candidate Majid Ali Lafta at the Higher Institute for Internal Security Forces.The candidate's thesis was entitled:“The Difficulties Faced by Students of the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development in Learning English Language Skills.”The study aims to identify the primary linguistic challenges encountered by the Institute's students and to propose pedagogical solutions that contribute to the development of their communicative and professional competencies.This academic participation underscores the Open College of Education's commitment to supporting research and academic development within state institutions, and to strengthening collaboration with security and educational centers by contributing specialized expertise to their evaluation committees—serving both the educational process and the wider community.
