In a Ramadan evening filled with excitement and sportsmanship, the final match of the football league organized by the Rusafa Educational Center was held between the Department of Management and the Department of Arabic Language, amid prominent official and popular attendance. The game was organized by the Center's Student Activities Division and attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmad—Dean of the Open College of Education—accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Jalal Jasim Al-Rikabi—Director of the Rusafa Educational Center—alongside a gathering of faculty members, students, and enthusiasts of the sport.The encounter witnessed a strong competition between the Management and Arabic Language teams, ending with the Arabic Language Department's victory after a thrilling performance that lasted until the final minutes. After the referee's whistle, the Dean crowned the winning team with the championship trophy and honored the players of both departments with words praising their sportsmanship and ethical commitment, commending the organizational efforts that showcased the bright face of student activity during Ramadan.In a statement on the sidelines of the ceremony, Dr. Ihsan Hadi Ahmad affirmed that such events “strengthen bonds among students and infuse vitality into the academic atmosphere, while reinforcing the values of cooperation and discipline.” For his part, Dr. Jalal Jasim Al-Rikabi noted that the Center pays special attention to extracurricular activities “because they constitute an important pillar in building the well-rounded character of the student.”
